THIS IS HOW WE ROLL, LEARN TO BOWL! June 14, 21, & 28 11:30-12:30    Free!

Learn to bowl, get some exercise, & play some really fun games!  Enjoy a free lunch too.  

 

ART June 14-18 Grades K-6     10:00-11:00 $20 per child    

Learn about and recreate crafts and works of art from different times in history.  
Chelsea Kirtley is the instructor.  Class size is limited to 20.  Call to pre-register.

 

GERMAN  June 14-18     1:00-2:00    Grades K-6      $20 per child

Learn simple vocabulary, greetings, color, and numbers.  This class is open to students in
grades K-6 and the cost is $20.   AMHS graduate Patrick Cunningham will teach the class.  
Class size is limited so call 724-7728 to register.

 

CHEERLEADING CLINIC      June 21-25 1:00-2:00

Learn to cheer with the AMHS cheerleaders.  This clinic is for kids between the ages of 4-12.  The $30 fee includes a t-shirt.  There will be a program on Friday.

 

U DESIGN A BRACELET    Tuesday, June 22         10:00-11:00

Barbara Whitfield will help kids make a quality keepsake bracelet.  Finished bracelets will be ready for pick-up in one week. The cost is $12 for children 10 and under and $20 for children 11 and older.  Call to register.  

   

SCRAPBOOKING       June 23-25    10:00-11:30     Grades 3-6     $25 per student     Pre-registration is required.

Terri Hartman will show kids how to make great scrapbook pages.  Bring 10-15 of your favorite pictures.

 

BELOVED CARTOON CHARACTERS June 28-July 2     10:00-11:00  Grades K-6 $25 per child

Troy Lenhart will teach children how to draw cartoon figures like SpongeBob, Dora, super heroes, etc.  Class size is limited.

 

SPANISH      Grades K-6     $20 per child

Spanish I      June 28-July 2   1:00-2:00      Spanish II      July 12-16     1:00-2:00

Learn simple vocabulary, greetings, colors, and numbers.  The classes are open to students in grades K-6 and the cost is $20.  AU student, Holly MacLachlan teaches both classes.  Class size is limited so call 724-7728 to register.     

 

ADVANCED ART     July 19-23     10:00-11:00 Grades K-6 $25 per child

Troy Lenhart will teach children how to draw figures, landscapes, still life, and 3-D at an advanced level.

 

HIP-HOP DANCE CLINIC        July 26-30     2:00-3:00    Grades 1-6      $20 per child           

Ashley Bir will show kids the latest fun hip-hop dance steps.  There will be a program on Friday.      

 

NUTRITION IN ACTION!      July 26-30     9:00-10:00     Grades 2-5     $10 per child

Fun, hands-on activities combining music, movement, & nutrition education.  Kids will learn how to incorporate healthy eating and physical activity into their daily lives.  Snack suggestions, learning activities, and healthy recipes along with food safety and sanitation are included in each lesson.  Robin Williams, Purdue Extension Educator will present the class.

Cheri Brown will take kids on fun & educational field trips in and around Alexandria.  Funding provided by Madison County Community Foundation and Youth Leadership Academy.  

 

WANTED!  6th GRADE FOOTBALL PLAYERS-Be a part of the Alex team and play nearby CIC teams in the Pigskin Conference this fall.  Practice begins late July or early August.   Call the Center at 724-7728 to get your name on the list.
