SOCCER CAMP        June 8-12     10:00-11:00     Grades 1-6     $15 per child

This camp will focus on soccer fundamentals such as dribbling, passing, & shooting.  All players must wear shinguards.  The instructor is Alex Burke, former ACC player and coach.

 

ART June 15-19 Grades K-2     9:00-10:15          Grades 3-5     10:15-11:30      $20 per child    

Learn about different movements, such as realism, surrealism, and abstract, the artists & different techniques from Chelsea Kirtley.  Daily projects will include painting and drawing.  Class size is limited to 20 children.

 

GERMAN  June 15-19     1:00-2:00

Learn simple vocabulary, greetings, color, and numbers.  This class is open to students in grades K-7 and the cost is $20.   AMHS graduate Nicole Schultz will teach the class.  Class size is limited so call 724-7728 to register.

 

U DESIGN A BRACELET    Wednesday, June 17         1:00-2:00 for 10 & under   &   2:00-3:00 for 11 & older

Barbara Whitfield will help kids make a quality keepsake bracelet.  Finished bracelets will be ready for pick-up in one week. The cost is $12 for children 10 and under and $20 for children 11 and older.  Call to register.  

    

SPANISH       Spanish I      June 22-26     9:00-10:00   &   Spanish II      June 29-July 2     9:00-10:15

HIP-HOP DANCE CLINIC        June 22-26   Grades 1-5 from 3:00-4:00    

Ashley Bir will teach kids the latest fun hip-hop dance steps.  The cost is $20 for grades 1-5.      

 

SCRAPBOOKING June 29-July 2     Grades 3-7     $25 per student     Pre-registration is required.

Terri Hartman will show kids how to make great scrapbook pages.  Bring 10-15 of your favorite pictures.

 

THIS IS HOW WE ROLL, LEARN TO BOWL! July 14-17 9:00-11:15 $5 per child

Learn to bowl, get some exercise, & have fun!  Get a free game pass and other giveaways.  

 

PROFESSOR POPCORN    July 27-31     1:00-1:45 for Gr. K-3   &   2:00-2:45 for Gr. 4-7     $10 per child

Lynn Schocke, Family Nutrition Advisor w/Purdue Extension will show kids in grades K-7 how to make better food choices & learn kitchen & food safety.  They will make a nutritious snack every day.  Class size is limited and pre-registration is required.  

 

BASIC ART July 20-24     10:00-11:00 Beginning class for Grades K-3  $25 per child

Troy Lenhart will teach children how to draw figures, landscapes, still life, and 3-D.  Class size is limited.

 

ADVANCED ART     July 27-31     10:00-11:00 Grades 4-7 $25 per child

Troy Lenhart will teach children how to draw figures, landscapes, still life, and 3-D at an advanced level.

Cheri Brown will take kids on fun & educational field trips in and around Alexandria and Madison County.

Rent the Community Center for your next reunion, birthday party, wedding or baby shower, etc.

 

FREE LUNCHES FOR KIDS     Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday      11:30-12:30

The Summer Food Service Program for Children will provide free nutritious lunches for any child up to age 18 throughout the summer beginning Monday, June 8.   Meet your friends and play some ping pong, foosball, or air hockey after lunch.

 

FREE BIKE SAFETY CLASS @ ACC      Wednesday, June 10     9:00-11:00         Rain date- Wednesday, June 17      

APD Officer Steve Puente will teach kids bike safety, maintenance, and the rules of the road.  Along with their bike, all bike riders must bring a bike helmet.         

 

CHEERLEADING CLINIC      June 8-12 1:00-2:30

Learn to cheer with the AMHS cheerleaders.  This clinic is for kids between the ages of 4-12.  The $30 fee includes a t-shirt.
